Information Technology has always been a fundamental part of Larsen
Design. Switching from manual drafting to Computer Aided Drafting in 1990 was a
milestone in the development of Larsen design. In 1991 Larsen Design purchased
a sophisticated space frame program. This program has since been updated and
has successfully been used on many projects such as bridges buildings and other
major structures. It is considered paramount to use the latest state-of-the-art
design programs available on the market.
In addition to the commercially available design software packages on
the market Larsen Design writes it own software applications for specific
projects. Our in-house programs cover both Design Drafting and Engineering
Applications.
Larsen Design has recently converted hundred percent to digital filing
for both design and administration. Our old manual filing system was gradually
over the years changed to an electronic system and has now completely been
replaced with our present electronic filing system.

Larsen design was appointed to design and produce shop
drawings for the hinged type poles
for street and flood lighting.
Larsen Design developed its own structural
design software for this application. In addition Larsen Design developed
its own drafting software in order to balance the mast and automatically
produce cutting sheets for fabrication in the workshop.
